THE COLLEGE APPLICATION
FOR PRIVATE AND
CALIFORNIA COLLEGES
  1. You are responsible for securing an application for admission from the college of your choice. To obtain an application for private universities and out of state colleges, write directly to the undergraduate admissions office. A postal card is usually sufficient for the initial contact.

  2. Prepare a personal résumé (list of qualifications, extra-curricular activities, hobbies, goals, etc.). See the next page for a "Sample Résumé."

  3. When the application materials arrive, locate the Counselor/Principal Recommendation Form (Secondary School Report), fill out your part, sign all waivers and take the form with your résumé to our registrar in the Student Services area of the main office. You do not need to include a stamped envelope.

  4. Completion of these forms cannot be guaranteed if they are turned in after Thanksgiving. You must act immediately to insure that this important part of your application process is completed on time.
