Student Government and Clubs

An active Associated Student Body, 85+ school clubs, and special interest organizations provide a myriad of opportunities for Monta Vista students to become active in their school community. Although volunteer hours are not a requirement of graduation, the vast majority of our students contribute many hours to our community, outside organizations and various social causes.

A partial list of organizations includes: ASB government, Community Leadership, class government, Music (marching band, jazz band, orchestra, chamber orchestra, choir, elite mixed ensemble), Speech and Debate, Journalism, Yearbook, Key Club, Interact and Octagon (service clubs), Future Business Leaders of America, DECA, California Scholarship Federation, National Honor Society, Spanish and French Honor Societies, Dance team, Cheerleading and Color Guard, Drama, Mock Trial, Robotics and Amnesty International.

Monta Vista students also participate in a full range of competitive athletics.
