2007-2008 Squads:

Cheer: The Monta Vista Cheerleading squad is made up of twenty-eight talented student athletes who dedicate their time to represent the school in many different ways. From cheering at all football and basketball games to performing at numerous athletic events, the team continues to support the school in a positive manner. The cheerleading team further represents Monta Vista at competitions all over California each year in the Intermediate and Novice divisions. Using sharp, visual motions and attention-grabbing stunts, the squad continues to not only impress their audience, but also continues to succeed in USA competitions each year. It is an honor to represent the school as a Monta Vista cheerleader!

Song: The Monta Vista Varsity Songleading team is a diverse group of twelve girls who represent the school in local, regional, and national competitions each year. Combining eccentric and visual jazz technique as well as pom movement, the girls combine the visual and showmanship aspects of cheerleading with the foundations of a performance dance team. The team performs at rallies, football and basketball games, various dance shows, as well as other athletic events. The team also cheers with the cheerleading squad at boys football and basketball gamesand competes separately as a member of the USA Pom/ Songleading Division. We are looking forward to another fantastic year as a representative of Monta Vista!
